The IFPB is delighted to announce the following plenary speakers for the International Review of Psychosis & Bipolarity 2016

Prof Zoltan Rihmer
Prof Zoltan Rihmer

Professor Zoltán Rihmer, MD, PhD, DSc, is a Professor of Psychiatry at the Department of Clinical and Theoretical Mental Health and Department of Psychiatry and Psychotherapy, Semmelweis Medical University, Budapest. He is also the director of Laboratory for Suicide Research and Prevention, National Institute of Psychiatry and Addictions, Budapest, Hungary. 

As a full-time clinician, Dr Rihmer's special interest is the clinical and biological/genetic aspects of mood and anxiety disorders, with particular regards to prediction of treatment response, prediction and prevention of suicide, the role of affective temperaments in major mood disorders, the role of GPs in suicide prevention, and the interface between mood and cardiovascular disorders. Prof. Rihmer has published more than 440 scientific articles/book chapters (more than 200 in English), four books. The number of his independent citations is over 4000, the cumulative impact factor over 490, and the hirsh-index 33.
He received the Brickell Sujicide Research Award of Columbia University, New York (1999), the Aretaeus Award of the „Associazione per lo studio della malatia maniaco-depressiva” (2010), the Dr. Szabó György Award of the Hemingway Foundation (2010), the Lifetime Achievement Award of the European Bipolar Forum (2011) and the “Oláh Gusztáv” Lifetime Achivement Award of the Hungarian Psychiatric association (2012), the “széchenyi Prize” of the Government of Hungary (2012) and the Aristotle Gold Medal of Lifetime Achivement in Mental Health given by the International Society of Neurobiology and Psychopharmacology. Professor Rihmer is a member of the editorial  boards of Journal of Affective Disorders, Clinical Neuropsychiatry, International Journal of Psychiatry in Clinical Practice, World Journal of Biological Psychiatry, Suicidology Online, Depression Research and Treatment, Psychiatria Danubia, Psychiatria Hungarica and Neuropsychopharmacologia Hungarica. He is also regular reviewer of 5 Hungarian and more than 35 international psychiatric journals.
